Hymn book choices were somewhat limited — until now!
If you open any given hymn book in your pew chances are you won't be flipping pages long before you see a date starting with "1800". Certainly, there's nothing wrong with something because it is old — we treasure lots of things with mileage on them, like the old Jerusalem gospel.
But what you may not know is that a lot of the hymns in our books were written by people who were not members of our Lord's church. They didn't believe the things Jesus and His apostles taught and they wrote some of their hymns with those misconceptions in mind.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a hymn book where you could trust that every single hymn was scriptural and you knew they were written by Christians (not members of a denomination)? I'm a Christian — no prefix, no suffix, no substitution. I believe in glorifying God with the talents He gave me for music. I'm writing and co-writing completely scriptual hymns that teach the doctrine of Christ for use in the Lord's church.
My goal is to produce a 1,000-song, scripturally accurate hymnal by 2028. Together, with a small group of Christian collaborators, we are well on the way to achieving that goal in record time!
